Pastor Christopher Cartwright
Chris joined Shore Presbyterian as the Pastor in August of 2019. Chris graduated with a Masters in Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2018, after serving at Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield VA from 2002-2013, and Grace Community Presbyterian Church in Mechanicsville VA from 2013-2019.
Chris and his wife Megan both feel called to reach those who don’t know Jesus by serving outside of their comfort zones and welcoming people who are not exactly like them. Both Megan and Chris feel a passion for church planting because it is the most effective way to connect those who don’t know Jesus with His Church. They desire to help create a community that reflects the natural makeup of the Eastern Shore.
As a native Virginian, Chris has always loved being near the shore and is enjoying exploring and getting to know the ESVA. Chris spends his free time reading, visiting new restaurants, and being with friends. Chris and Megan are the parents to four children.
